Artist Statement
In my artistic work, I deal with the human body and its ways of behaving and moving. I often use my own body as a direct tool and material.
Fascinations from my environment and and my daily life are often the trigger for new image possibilities. I visualize and materialize the critical and reflected exploration in performative strategies and by means of various media. This includes photography, performance, video as well as installation and drawing.
I am interested in the contemporary discourse around, about and with the body and its permanent relation to social and identifying themes.
